Get an official welcome from NJIT and meet the most important resource of the day - the NSO peer leaders!


9:45: Family Programs and Support

Location: Campus Center Atrium

 

The family program begins with a presentation from the Associate Dean of Students, Dr. Sharon Morgan.


10:15: Public Safety

Location: Campus Center Atrium

 

Officers from the Department of Public Safety will share with you tips for your student to stay safe on and off campus.


11:15: Breakout Session #1

 

Life as a Campus Resident - Jim Wise Theater: Learn about the support and services offered for campus residents.

 

Life as a Campus Commuter - Campus Center Atrium:  Commuters will learn more about modes of transportation for getting to school, and what opportunities and resources are available for them.


1200: Breakout Session #2

Math 108/110 - Campus Center Atrium: Learn more about your student's course placement into pre-calculus, and find out what it takes to pass with flying colors!

 

Career Development Services -  Central King Building (CKB) 116Learn  how your student can get resume tips and obtain internships/co-ops through Career Development Services! 

 

Student Life - WEC Lecture Hall:  Explore how your student can get connected and engaged with their new NJIT community with the many involvement opportunities available.

 

Fostering Success for Women: Murray Center's Commitment to Meaningful Education - Campus Center 265: Hear the experiences of women who study at NJIT, and learn more about the programs and peer-to-peer support at the Murray Center for Women in Technology.

You've made it through the day! Now enjoy a closing reception with some wine, beer, refreshments, and light appetizers. Your student will meet you here at the end of the day.
